1. Zeus who is the god of thunder and lightning got his lightning bolt from a giant Cyclops that made it when he was born. He needed it to defend himself against any evil.
2. Zeus gave birth to Athena the goddess of wisdom and military strategy from his head because he ate Metis to save Athena. He got pounding headaches from Metis being in him.
3. One of Zeus’s weaknesses was he gets in trouble over love affairs because he believes in love at first sight. Some of the people he had love affairs with are Almene, Callisto and Danae to name a few but there were many more.
4. Zeus was born in Mount Ida on the island of Crete in 700 B.C. His mom saved him by hiding him in a basket behind a tree and giving his father a bundle of blankets.
